How to download Ebooks for FREE Legally

These days everybody is asking for ebooks to learn IT-related topics but unfortunately these books are very expensive and costly. This is the major reason why ebook piracy is increasing gradually. Today I will show you how to download LEGAL ebooks for FREE.

Today we are going to download ebook samplers which are totally FREE and have half of the chapters that are present in the original book.

Step. 1: Navigate to http://microsoftpress.oreilly.com/. Now, you will see a page similar to the following:

Step 2: See the part which has a red rectangle in the picture above. From there you can download free book samplers. For this tutorial we are going to download 'Introducing Microsoft WebMatrix' sampler. Just Click on the book title.

Seminar at APTECH Garden - 11th June 2011

On 11th of June 2011 APTECH Garden organized a session on latest Microsoft Technologies including Webmatrix, Web Apps, Windows Phone 7, ASP.net MVC. I was invited a guest speaker to speak on the topic: Webmatrix and Web Apps. There was also a 30 minutes bonus session on Entrepreneurship and Bogging by Umema Adil. Windows 8 Beta Release Date

My last blog post how cool Windows 8 is. I am curiously waiting for the beta release of Windows 8. Recently, a member of windows development team leaked a road map of windows and Microsoft office which you can see below (Click to Enlarge). It shows that the beta will be released on 1st July 2011. Enjoy!

Windows 8 - First Look

Windows 8 looks really cool. the new multi-touch features are awesome. This means that developers can create apps with better UI. The video below explains this better:

Windows Phone 7.5 - 'Mango' Update

The new Mango update for windows phone 7 brings many new features to it that Micorsoft missed in its first release. You can see those features in the video below:

Wordpress

Recently I came across Wordpress. I came across it when I was googling about blogging tools and found wordpress plugins and wordpress themes. I thought they were really impressive as thought to give them a try. I created a free blog on wordpress.com. When I had my blog setup, I searched for the feature to add plugins and to add more themes because there were very less themes to select. After some research, I found out that there are two different versions of Wordpress.

The version I tried, wordpress.com is FREE and already hosted. Wordpress.org is a CMS and we have to host it by our self and it is also FREE. Wordpress.org is for advance users. After some days, DiscountASP.net sponsored my user group, Tech.NET and offered us free hosting for user group website. I used that hosting to create a Wordpress.org blog for my user group which is really COOL ;). I suggest you all to give both of these a try.

If you don't know about MicrosoftFeed, Its a really good blog for Microsoft news, tutorials on Microsoft technologies and etc. When I first saw it, I thought that it was ran by Microsoft but it is run by Pakistani MVP, Ali Raza Shaikh. I never knew Pakistan had so much talent. Sir Syed University Seminar

On 30th April 2011, Sir Syed Univerity Oraganized an event on 'Dot Net Technologies'. Sorry for being so late in posting it. I was inactive for so many days because of my school exams. Still, the exams are not over but just Computer Studies exam is left which I don't even count as an exam :D. The agenda for the event was .NET Framework 4.0, Windows Phone 7 and ASP.net.
